qualifications. Andrew Hards specialises in the following areas of

- litigation before the German national courts and invalidity proceedings before the German patent court
Andrew Hards initially studied
chemistry and polymer chemistry at the LMU University in Munich, but
holds a PhD in physics in the field of laser microscopy. He can
therefore claim expertise in a broad range of technical and scientific
areas, spanning chemistry, physics and mechanics; in particular, he has
in-depth knowledge in the following technical fields:
- chemistry, in particular polymer chemistry
- physics, in particular laser technology, microscopy and nanotechnology
- organic light emitting diodes (OLED) and optoelectronic devices
- general mechanics
- software-implemented applications
- medical and diagnostic machines
- pharmaceutics
- biophysics and biotechnology
Mr. Hards was fortunate to establish
connections to Asia and North America, especially to Japan, where he
completed his diploma thesis. He is interested in languages and
international cultures. Andrew Hards is bilingual in English and
German, speaks French at an advanced level and has developed a solid
understanding of the Japanese language through many years of evening
classes and his experience living in Japan.
